For now, I’ve stepped away from commissions and I’m taking some time to paint and experiment with no predetermined poses, specific details, or expectations.
After twenty years of painting other people’s horses, I wanted the chance to explore a little more and give myself the artistic freedom to paint different breeds, coat patterns, and whatever comes to mind, with a touch of unbridled imagination to see where it leads.
It’s a personal path I want to travel for a bit. A little less planned, a lot more wild, one horse, one painting, and one story at a time.
There is a little place hidden in the meadow, made for whenever you need somewhere else to be for a moment.
